Painting in Progress - Sept 26 Frida and Klimt

I'm working on another canvas today inspired by Klimt. My approach is usually pretty straight forward. Once I've decided on the general idea for the piece, I simply start with a watery mixture of a neutral tone. Perhaps because my work is often a single figure I don't start with preliminary sketches. It may seem a bit haphazard and I do have to gesso over the odd one, but in most cases I can finish the piece with some sort of satisfaction.
